IMAZ hosted THE First FIMA Save Vision in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The FIMA delegation comprised of Dr. Muhammad Azhar Qazi, Dr. Raiz Ahmed and Dr. Ghulam Hussein Asif and Mr. Bilal Muhammad. The team was assisted by Dr. Sakiss (a member of IMAZ) and her colleagues at Richard Morris Hospital in Bulawayo. There was for the first time extensive print and television coverage. A total of 150 patients benefited, 125 cataract operations were done and 25 were examined and treated for various eye conditions.
16th OCTOBER 2011 OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE FIRST AL SHIFA DENTAL CLINIC – (BULAWAYO)
The first Al Shifa dental clinic was opened at Al Shifa Clinic in Bulawayo.
Professor Esat worked hard to organise and get things working in his capacity as the Clinic’s administrator.
Dr Sako was the resident dentist.
Dr. Nazir Muhammad donated the bulk of the equipment and Dr. Khalid Siam (IMAZ dentist) supported the project.

3RD OCTOBER 2011 – PROPOSAL OF HATCLIFF EXTENSION CLINIC
Sister Burhan Weston from Harare proposed to volunteer to set up a clinic for the needy in Hatcliff extension Harare.
The idea was welcomed by IMAZ executive.
26th – 27th NOVEMBER 2011 – PARENTING WORKSHOP (HARARE)
A one-and-half day’s youth workshop was held by two esteemed and dynamic scholars from South Africa namely brother Idris Khamissa – an educator and Sheikh Sadullah Khan from Gatesville Masjid.
The weekend workshop cost $5000. Sponsorship was obtained from the business community
Youth and parents from around the country attended.
27th NOVEMBER 2011 – VISIT TO AL SHIFA CLINIC SITE – HATCLIFF (HARARE)
Dr. Ashmawy, Br. Asani, Sister Buruhan visited the Al Shifa Clinic site in the company of Africa Muslim Agency Officials.
Africa Muslim Agency volunteered to fund the clinic project.
